How to deal with negative people

3 Secrets on how to deal with negative people, and learn about yourself in the process

I had a good day today, loaded with positive news, and what would be the best topic to write about now? My upside down mechanism tells me to write about negativity, to be exact, about how to deal with negative people.

Let me share with you 3 secrets on how to keep your head up, and not smack other’s faces. Trust me, all the teachers in the school were talking about my exemplary behavior, and (thank god lol) local society has so many negative examples that I had a lot of practice. 😉

#1 Please, don’t try to prove a point to a negative person

It is justified if you have nothing better to do, and you need the drama once in a while. Or maybe you are a masochist, so you want a bit of torture. Hehe

Seriously, a negative person likely has very staunch views and it’s not going to change its stubbornness just because of what you said. Whatever you say, it will find 10 more reasons to back up its viewpoint. Negative people even don’t have to have reasonable arguments. It’s more of an ego situation.

Sometimes walking away from a possible conflict makes you a bigger badass than trying to prove your point, which even doesn’t have to be correct.

#2 Use negative people as guidelines for your inner issues

It’s a common thing when a negative person brings out old fights from the dead in order to push your “buttons” or something that causes intense feelings for you. And why not? You lose your temper, energy gets high, and that person has lots of food to suck in and bring itself to life.

But always look on the bright side of life… If life seems jolly rotten… There’s something you’ve forgotten…

Bright side of life

Use them for your own good (no, to use is not a rude act in this one). So, if there’s one particular person who drains you the most, ask yourself why is it affecting you so much? Sometimes, you can learn a lot about yourself by analyzing what feelings it’s bringing up within you. Once you figure it out and deal with it, you’ll find that the energy draining daughter or son of an asshole simply has no power over you anymore.

#3 Be aware where you focus your energy on while being next to the negative person

Like attracts like and whether we like it or not, we attract in our lives people, events, situations that mirror our internal state of being.

If you are surrounded by the bunch of negative people or you see only negativity in people, what do you think what might be the issue? It’s definitely not the issue in everybody else except in little you.

The first things that you notice in others are the things that are familiar to your mechanism. So, if you put the whole focus on other’s bitching, that’s a sign that you’re the one who is constantly bitching within. By solving your inner issues, you’ll start noticing the good stuff even in negative people, and you’ll not be frustrated. You’ll know the answers about what to do without reading posts like this one.

How do you deal with negative people? What do they trigger in you?

An introverted endless thinker who is all into the human’s psyche and self-development. Turning the drama into humor. Always hungry to discover more.
